Life of Pix offers a relatively small stock (currently some 2,000 images) of free high-resolution PD photographs. You may download the images without copyright restrictions for personal or commercial use. The selection of photos is strongly skewed toward nature and city photographs (about half the collection).

Image*After is a Netherlands-based online collection of roughly 30,000 royalty free photos. Images and textures may be downloaded and used free and without restriction. The search-by-color option is quite useful, as is the abstract search option (search by image properties).
